Alcohol and Your Health

I guess this is for my younger audience of viewers/subscribers. Hey I still like to consider myself relatively young. You know my grandpa is almost like 100 years old, and he always told me “You’re as young as you feel”. I always liked that, especially when it’s coming from a guy who’s in his 90’s and has as much energy as the roadrunner. You know, he’s right though. Anyway, speaking of something that can shave a couple years off our own life expectancies. That’s right guys, partying.

Maybe you’re still young, or maybe you’re still wild, either way, stay cautious with this one. I mean if you smoke cigarettes that’s another thing, but if you drink in excess on a regular basis, no good no good no good. I think in our country, alcohol and cigarettes kill more people than anything else, especially if you combine their yearly fatalities. Now that’s a statistic if I ever saw one. Now I’m not saying if you party a lot you’re going to die, noooo. What I am saying is that it can affect your bodies composition and overall health all in due time. I guess what I’m recommending is that you pace yourself in this scene. Remember, everything in moderation. That’s a phrase we’ve heard countless times throughout all our lives, but it’s true to the core.

If you’re going to drink, but you don’t want to pack on those calories, stay away from all those thick and creamy dark lagers. If you want to smoke, um, well I don’t have any advice here. Well I guess it all depends on what it is we’re talking about. For all those cannabis users out there, hey that’s fine, whatever floats your boat. But the same philosophy behind smart partying still applies even with cannabis use, everything in moderation. Getting completely drunk or whacked out of your skull is something of the past for most of us, but for some reason we’re tempted to go back to it every once and a while huh? Yeah I know, hey me too. Just try not to forget about the repercussions, and then you’ll completely reassess the night even before it begins.

I would say drinking is the worst thing for your system. It can ruin your liver, and not only affect the interior, but skew your exterior. I mean, making decisions’ that you’d normally never make sober. That’s my biggest complaint with it. Otherwise, hey I love drinkin’ just as much as the next guy. However, I save my gulping reflex usually for the weekends. I encourage this behavior because it can be fun, but I don’t condone anything party related in excess, well except maybe sex. Haha! No I’m just playing around, but I digress.

Tread softly is all I’m saying, work hard, play harder is another expression I’ve heard that can work in some lights. Drinking hard all the time because you have a highly demanding job doesn’t get the checkmark on my list. Maybe something more along the lines of staying out with friends until the sun comes up is a better example. Just remember, you don’t have a lot of dialogue with your body, so when you’re putting it through a party themed obstacle course, it won’t tell you what’s wrong until it’s already too late. And when it tells you, it won’t with a dialogue, but with gargles, cramps, and uncontrollable projectile vomiting. Just something I wanted to bring into perspective for you guys.
